Istället för att flyttstäda badrummet väljer jag att blogga lite om min nya favoritserie som jag inte ens läst än läst fem nummer av nu - Nextwave. Skaparen Warren Ellis presenterar Nextwave så här:
It’s an absolute distillation of the superhero genre. No plot lines, characters, emotions, nothing whatsoever. It’s people posing in the street for no good reason. It is people getting kicked, and then exploding. It is a pure comic book, and I will fight anyone who says otherwise. And afterwards, they will explode.
Den bilsparkande killen ovan går under kodnamet The Captain (tidigare Captain ????, där ???? tydligen stod för ett otroligt vulgärt ord), begåvad med ett "generic set of special super hero abilities" och enligt beskrivning är han:
... so absurdly strong that he once smacked someone’s spine out through their lungs just by patting them on the back. In his defense, he was extraordinarily drunk.
Despite his name, he is not actually the captain of anything.
